Bishop's Palace
One of Galveston’s grandest buildings, this colored stone masterpiece was designed by Nicholas Clayton, one of Galveston’s top architects, and was completed in 1892.

Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig & Museum
This museum affords its visitors the opportunity to experience the offshore drilling industry first-hand on an actual drilling rig. The museum offers three floors of exhibits on oil, gas, seismic technology, exploration and extraction.

Lone Star Flight Museum
This museum is located next to the Galveston International Airport, and close to the Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Moody Gardens. The museum offers a range of historical exhibits and actual flight experiences in historic aircraft, including a B-17 Flying Fortress.

This amazing adventure park offers an aquarium, a rain forest walk-thru experience (opening spring 2011), an IMAX 3D theatre, a 4D special effects theatre, a paddlewheel boat, and a discovery museum.

Seawolf Park
Visit this naval history experience for terrific views of Galveston harbor (from atop the three-story pavilion). And don't miss the chance to explore the USS Cavalla (a decommissioned WWII submarine), and the USS Stewart (a decommissioned destroyer/escort).

Texas Seaport Museum/ELISSA
Discover Galveston’s maritime history of trade, shipping, and immigration. Visitors can also walk the decks of the tall ship Elissa (built in 1877). The ship is a National Historic Landmark, and worth the price of admission alone. But leave time to explore the adjacent museum and theatre.
